Concrete Admixtures

CHEMCON admixtures are High Range Water reducing Admixtures for High performance, High strength and durable concrete based on Polycarboxylate Ether (PCE) polymer. The main polymer backbone has Polycarboxyl groups for the adsorption on the surface of cement particles and alkoxy polyether lateral chains that keep the particles physically away from each other. This phenomenon of separating discreet solid agglomerating particles is known as Steric Hindrance.

This results in superior uidity of the mixture combined with better retention of workability (slump) as compared to the conventional superplasticizers based on naphthalene or ligno-sulphonate formaldehyde polycondensates. They are also ideal for precast and pre-stressed concrete products. Our Admixtures conform to ASTM C 494 and complies with IS : 9103 – 1999.

VISCOSITY MODIFIY AGENT

DESCRIPTION

TECSY -VMA – 306 is an aqueous solution of a higher molecular weight Modified cellulose polymer. It is a ready-to-use liquid viscosity modifying admixture (VMA) specially developed for producing concrete with enhanced viscosity and controlled rheological properties. Concrete containing TECSY – VMA – 306 exhibits superior stability and controlled bleeding characteristics, increasing resistance to segregation and facilitating placement.

The new technology of smart dynamic concrete allows concrete to be compacted without vibration, even with strongly reinforced structures. A self-compacting mix should have a high workability viscosity.

USES

  • Tecsy – VMA – 306 consists of a mixture of water soluble co-polymers which is adsorbed onto the surface of the cement granules, there by changing the viscosity of the water and influencing the rheological properties of the mix

TECSY PLASTER

DESCRIPTION

Tecsy plaster is a dark brown liquid which mixes readily with water at any proportion. It is based on sulphonated Napthalene formaldehyde condensate and Shrinkage reducing additive, its free from Calcium chloride and similar salts. Its application like roof slabs, screeds, basements, external plastering, bathroom floors, water tanks, sumps, drains, etc.

USES

  • To improve workability and troweling properties of sand / cement mortar mixes during application and minimize shrinking cracks
  • To increase quality of masonry and plastering

DOSAGE

Tecsy plaster should be used between 0.100 and 0.200 kg per 100 kg cement. Soft fine sand will require least and harsh sands most. Site trails will best determine the practical rate of addition in each case and are recommended.

Note: Do not add Tecsy plaster directly to dry sand/cement mortar.

TECSY AIR 514

DESCRIPTION

TECSY AIR 514 is an air entraining admixture, which creates ultra-stable air bubbles that are strong, small and closely spaced.

APPLICATION

TECSY AIR 514 is recommended for use whenever air entrained concrete is desired.  Ready-mix, precast and block producers can achieve predictable and uniform entrained air content in concrete.

USES

Most effective prevention against concrete scaling in exposed  environments. It helps to prevent scaling by creating microscopic air voids. Increases durability in harsh environments where concrete is exposed to de-icing salts, marine salts and sulfates

DOSAGE

The amount of TECSY AIR 514 admixture used will depend upon the amount of entrained air required under actual job condition.  In a trail mix, use 100 ml / 100 kg of cement.

IWP

DESCRIPTION

CONXL – IWP is a dark brown is a integral water proofing liquid based on ligno sulphonates to minimize permeability and increase the water proofing properties of concrete and cements and mortars for critical applications like roofs labs and screeds, basements, external plastering, bathroom floors, water tanks, sumps, drains etc.

USES

  • CONXL – IWP is Liquid admixture: Instant and complete dispersion throughout the mix. Uniform water proofing throughout concrete matrix.
  • High efficiency: Reduction in permeability of concrete/mortar
  • Improved workability: Improves compaction of concrete and mortar, even   where sand/m-sand or aggregates are reused.
  • Improved concrete quality: Minimizes porosity hence produces dense homogenous concrete.
